Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you to Ken in technical support for his patience and expertise in installing my mini-split. With virtually no knowledge or A/C heat pump units or wiring, I was able to successfully install the unit for my two car garage which is working flawlessly. The product is a commodity (even though the price was great) but the real value is having someone you can call to figure out what the heck you are doing because the manufacturers instructions aren't always clear. I called Ken about 5 times, once at 11pm EST time and he answered and walked me trough the issue. I would have ended up paying someone thousands of dollars to put this in for me if I didn't have the technical support from "Ductless" Highly recommended!

Just wanted to drop you a note expressing how satisfied I am with the mini-split system I ordered from you. Seldom do I find a product that is everything the manufacturer and distributor says it is. Well in this case it was every bit what you claimed and more. Affordably priced, easy installation, easy on the eye but most of all the "whisper quiet" sound level along with the efficiency of the unit have left me even that much more satisfied. The unit came as a kit and I ordered the line cover kit also. Everything I needed to complete the installation was in the kit and with the addition of the line cover kit the installation was extremely easy and the end result was very professional looking. I would certainly recommend one of these units to anyone looking for an easy to install, energy efficient, quiet unit that can be used for almost any application. In the near future I will be ordering a dual zone unit for the back of my house and I'm actually looking forward to installing it. I must confess that I did have a licensed HVAC dude come and hook up the electricity and pull a vacuum on it simply for warranty purposes. It is refreshing to find that there are still customer oriented businesses like you folks out there. Thanks so much, Bill Mango

I wanted to pass along my sincere appreciation for the quality service and great customer care I received from Bob Emling and your company. I recently ordered a Mini Split system through Bob. He was helpful, knowledgeable about the system and worked with me every step of the way. I called on a Monday and was in a bind. I requested delivery by the end of the week so I could have the unit installed over the weekend. I had an out-of-town friend in the HVAC Service Business dropping by to do the install. Bob took the order on Monday and said he would submit it right away for processing. I was absolutely amazed when I got a call less than 24 hours later that the unit was in my local FedEx distribution center waiting to be delivered to my door step. That is Great Service! I recently needed to find a "ductless way" to cool and heat a very large addition to my house. I knew nothing about the current technology, but was able to utilize your GREAT site information to decide on the 16 SEER 410A AC/Heat Pump unit. It was a perfect solution for my "add-on" problem. "I purchased two multiple heat and cool systems It only started as a basic inquiry, but after I happened to talk to Ken I began to realize that I could do this myself and that it would solve all of my objectives. The most important thing though was Ken's help. Without it, I never could have seen my way through the process. Ken is a very honest and sincere person who tries to help you in any way he can and is not trying to get you off the phone when you have a question. Ken, I am writing to express my appreciation for your and Bob's assistance in the purchase of, and installation, of our Mini-Split Heat Pump. It has been operating flawlessly since day one, almost six months ago. After the self installation, I had a HVAC technician perform a brief inspection, as well as testing for leaks and purge the system of any moisture. He asked where I had purchased the unit and what I paid for it. When I told him the amount, he was clearly amazed. He informed my that if he had sold a similar system to me, he would have charged me more than double what I paid for it. During the wild fires we experienced here in San Diego, it was a blessing to me able to keep the house closed up, yet perfectly comfortable inside. Now that winter, or our version of it, is here, setting the heating system into the timer mode allows the chill to be taken off the house before our feet hit the floor. The system works great in either heating or A/C mode. Again, I wanted to say thanks to you and Bob for all of your advise which made me feel capable of installing the system myself. I have recently installed one of your multisplit units, the Sanyo 2 1/2 ton heat pump 3172, and I am delighted with it. It is incredibly quiet. Yesterday the wind was blowing briskly, and I had to stand right next to the outdoor unit to notice that it was on. Likewise, the indoor units (there are four) are so quiet in "quiet mode" that it takes an otherwise silent room and some concentration to notice them at all. Previously we had only a wood stove for heat; we've found that the new heat pump can easily keep our 1600 SF house comfortable without burning any wood, at least down to 30 degrees (it hasn't gotten colder than that yet). The fact that the thermostats reside within the remotes allows us to fine tune the temperature in each individual space. Installation was straightforward once I managed to digest the somewhat labored factory instructions. Here is where Ken's experience and good nature proved invaluable. No question was too trivial for his full attention. There's a vast difference between a tech who's education came out of a book and one who earned his with many years in the field. Make no mistake, Ken is the real deal, accept no substitutes. It took me about four man-days to put the system in. Ours was a fairly challenging installation due to the layout of our house. We ran 137 feet of line to four different locations. Because of the long runs, I bought my copper at a local HVAC supply house, which was not problem and allowed me to make all my runs without resorting to inline flare couplings; this was a little more expensive, but well worth the return in reliability. I ran each unit's lines, refrigerant and electric, one at a time to avoid any chance of cross connecting the systems (this is only an issue with multisplit units). Once it was all hooked up, I contacted an HVAC contractor that I'd met at the supply house. He was happy to come out, pressure test the lines, vacuum them out, and check the system's operation. Cost: $253, and remember this is a four unit multisplit. Was it worth the effort? Before pulling the trigger, I got a bid from a reputable local contractor. His bid blew me out of the water: $15,600! In comparison, my kit cost $6200 from Ken, plus $500 in local supplies and $253 in contracted service. That comes to a savings of $8647. Considering my four days of labor, that's the most money I've made (saved) in my life. Cheers, Steven Tyree

I purchased the 12,000 BTU Ambiance mini split, Heat Pump to be used in my SunRoom. The unit is doing a great job of keeping this 3-sided double pane glass room comfortable. I was amazed at how quite it is (especially the indoor unit). I installed both the indoor and outdoor units with 25 ft refrigerant lines, electrical wiring and then had a licensed AC guy vacuum / pressure test and check the charge, etc ($167.00). I'm very pleased with the look and perfomance and would highly recommend (5 Stars) this unit to anyone. Ken was very helpful and always available to answer my questions.

Hello. I wanted to take a moment to let everyone at your company know how much I appreciate their service & support. I live in Florida and have been remodeling my 1 bedroom cement block cottage. Because it's a flat roof bldg. w/ no crawl space , when I replaced the windows, I decided to eliminate the window unit A/C's & go w/ a mini split system.-Researching my options on the net, I came across the mini-split HVAC website & contacted them. Right from the start Ken was extremely generous in sharing his knowledge and experience in helping me choose the best system for my application & budget. This unit is :- Stylish- Very effective at cooling and drying.- Extremely quiet in normal mode and incredibly quiet in quiet mode. Even the outside compressor is quiet! We are so impressed that we plan to buy another one for the front of our house

This is a great product. It is extremely quiet and ultra-efficient. It's installed in the master bedroom suite. We turn it on, close the door, and in 20 minutes, that part of the house is wonderfully cool. The unit also has 2 washable air filters. Ken in customer assistance is always available, very knowledgeable, and pleasant to talk to. Many HVAC people we talked to wouldn't install units they didn't sell, but on Ken's recommendation we found someone decent, who charged $775 (we supplied the slab).

This unit has totally changed the way I work. I can work in comfort all day long. I have a home office and I have a terrible problem with a room full of computer equipment, a west facing office & no shade. The Afternoons would just about do me in. I tried keeping the house air conditioning cool enough to keep my office cool but that was costing me a fortune, and was really a waste, since I spent most of my day in my office. I went a whole week without running the house air at all after my install but still enjoyed the cool office. Since it has been hotter here I have had to run the house air but still not nearly as much. The folks I have worked with at Ductless Mini Split systems have been great. They have answered all my questions and have been there to help both myself and my own AC guy with some install and general operation questions, and that was on a Saturday afternoon in Fresno, CA. I truly enjoy working with professionals who take care of their customers like they do, and I have had quite a few in the past that never see another transaction from me again, not so with these guys. I bought 3 units from this company in May and I love them. They are efficient and quiet. I live in Texas and it has been extremely hot this summer and the units have kept our home very cool. If I ever have any questions about our units, Ken is the guy with all the answers. It is NOT a sale and forget you type operation. Ken is there any time I call to answer questions. I recommend the mini-split systems completely

The unit works awesome, it's much quiter than traditional split system or heat pump units and the room feels much more comfortable. We live in Arizona where it's been reaching 110 degrees. We hooked up the unit and in 20 minutes our new master bedroom was cooled to 72 degrees, amazing. This was accomplished with much less energy than a traditional system. I strongly recommend Ductless Mini Split systems. The service and support I received throughout my purchase and installation was superb.

This unit has been great. Its very quiet and keeps the upstairs very kewl. In fact I think it does a better job than the central air does downstairs. It was also pretty easy to install. Only thing I had to do was have a technician come out to test and finish final hookup. These units are everything Ken, the owner of this business, said they were. Ken knows HVAC and ductless. I sent him pictures of my home and room descriptions and he sized each compressor and air handler perfectly for the size and heat exposure of each room. We bought 2... a Sanyo 3 zone and a Sanyo 4 zone. He knows his stuff. It was difficult for me here in NJ to find an HVAC guy who knew the intricacies of R410A refrigerant that these new Sanyo units use, you have to find someone who does commercial as well as residential, something I discovered too late, but I found someone who said he was going to school in a few weeks and knew enough to vacuum and charge them. Ken gave him advice but my HVAC guy didn't heed Ken because my HVAC guy he cut his teeth on the R22 units, very good, but different, less efficient and old generation, and the result cost me two more visits and more money. The point: LISTEN TO KEN. He's honest, gives great advice and knows what he's talking about. And Sanyo tech support confirmed everything Ken told us. My HVAC guy thought both Ken and Sanyo were nuts, but my local guy had to eat some humble pie when they were right! Ken knows HVAC, how to size the units, and understands these new Sanyo R410A units. I don't care whether you have forced central air ducts or not, these out perform central air by a wide margin for lots of reasons. You can zone each air handler, you can clean each air handler filter, the air from each units stays in the local area, you can set the temperature of each zone individually so that either the efficient cooling or heating kicks in just like central air, you can close a door and shut a zone off if you don't use that zone, and, the air handlers and compressor are so quiet you won't know they are around. Great value, great vendor, great tech support.

Excellent product even has ionizer built in which was a surprise for me and the customer. As a state licensed mechanical contractor, I look for a product that will perform in both looks and energy performance. With this unit the customer will not even realize it on their electric bill due to the low power consumption. Ken is easy to deal with and understanding of my needs. I am very pleased with this unit and its performance. The indoor unit is very light and was easy to handle during installation. Except for a recently herniated disk in my back, I would have installed this unit with no assistance from my wife. For aesthetic reasons, I chose to install the unit with the refrigerant lines running for about six feet in the wall instead of exiting to the outside directly behind the indoor unit and doing so did provide a challenge (not the fault of this unit). However, the unit connections and lines are provided with high quality fittings which made it easier than it might otherwise have been. The inside unit is quiet during operation and cools quickly. I like the capability of changing the blower's louvers from swinging to stationary which provides for optimum comfort in the room when the unit is in operation. The outside unit is so quiet one has to be in a direct line with the unit and within 5 feet to hear it. I cannot hear it when I am around the corner of the building from the unit, even when I am within 12 feet of it. Installation instructions could be a little more detailed, but even as someone who does not work in the A/C industry, I was able to install it alone with a couple of phone calls. The warranty requires service by an A/C professional before starting and using the unit and that is to be expected. My A/C serviceman has another brand of mini-split installed in his home but he was impressed with this unit. Everyone that has experienced this unit in operation has been favorably impressed and several have asked for more information. I might have rated this unit even higher, but this is the first mini-split I have purchased so it is hard to really compare. However, I have used several different mini-splits while overseas and this unit is equal to any other I have used

This is a sweet unit! Installs easily, easy to set up and charge, easy to use. This unit kicks out a nice cold punch and it's very smart, constantly monitoring the temperature and making just the right adjustments. Can't say enough. A tremendous value for the money. Put it in yourself and and have your local guy charge it up and really save! Plus, Ken loves his customers and will provide tremendous service and advice.

I purchased an 18,000 BTU Ambiance mini split, cool only unit. I live in Colorado on top floor of a condo building with cement t-beams for a ceiling. They can really bake in the summer and the place gets very uncomfortable and hot. I mounted the unit as close to the T-beams as I could so heat coming from the t-beams could be cooled as efficiently as possible. This unit cools the place in about 20 minutes, is extremely quiet (both the compressor and indoor unit), and looks good. My HOA was extremely pleased with the final instal look. The technical support from Ken was amazing. I'm a very detailed person and there was not one question he didn't know. I've done wiring before, but without his help, particularly with the mini orange condensate pump, I would of had to hire and hvac professional. All you have to do is tell him your situation and he will be able to show you what kind of mini split system is best. By the way, the front office staff that takes orders and handles shipping is very easy to work with and also provides excellent service. My only hitch for the install was a very think wall--about 12 inches that I had to bore through--solid wood--which made bending the 1/2 inch OD tough--the spring provided by ambiance did not reach far enough to get the bend so I had to cut out a section of the 1/2 inch, put on an after market spring, and soder (spelling?) a new section back on. Not really an issue with the manufacturer, but an example why it really pays if you can do most of this install yourself. I did hire a pro to come and pressure test my lines and fittings, remove air, check the manufacturers charge, and look over the wiring. Only charged me $180.00 to do it--well worth the dough before initial startup...If you are fairly handy and deliberating between a window AC or one of these, I would say its not even close--cool quicker, much quieter, and they look way better. Spend the extra on one of these and only use this site--Ken and staff are well worth any small price differential you may find elsewhere...

The installation I had was a little tricky but honestly that had nothing to do with the equipment. On start-up.. I was TOTALLY amazed at how quite it was. Was waiting for some sort vibration. Instead..I had to look to see if the squirrel cage was turning to know it was on. Wasn't until the fan was to high speed you really heard anything. Even then, it sounds NOTHING like a window unit. Just a lite sound of air. The elongated-cylindrical squirrel cage is ultra quiet and efficient.Thats no exageration. The features of the remote made this a very nice system.The homeowner and I are both very pleased with the choice. Service was unbelievably fast, . Ken said 2-3 days and it was here THAT quick. Other suppliers gave me the usual 7-10 day line. Great folks to work with.Great product. Definately buying from these folks again

My wife an I rate it # 1--we just love the efficiency and quietness of the system. We have suggested it to a number of people that if they ever need heat or AC uhit it one room or larger rooms that they purchase a unit like that. A number of plumbers are now selling the mini-split units---I don't know what brand ?? I have talked to the neighbors at the Lake and I believe some of them are going to install one!! Thanks

I would have to rate your company service as exceptional with regard to the purchase and delivery of my mini ductless split system. I have not yet had the system installed, awaiting completion of my addition, but from everything I have seen of the product it appears to be first class. I will be installing the system next week and I am sure I will have some calls for tech assistance prior to the install. I do have a professional HVAC person who will be doing the final connections and charging of the unit. In my book, you guys are number one.

The units are working great. If I ever get the new wall up, I'll have all four (inside) units installed. The installation, though hard work, was straight forward and with a couple calls to teh support to confirm I was going in the right direction and a couple calls to order more stuff, I was good to go. I do plan on ordering a single split unit for my 18X18 living room as soon as I get my remodeling to that point. Plus my brother liked them so much that he's going to order some for his house.
